Place Jeunesse d'Odanak
DESCRIPTION OF PLACE JEUNESSE ODANAK
The Place Jeunesse Odanak is
intended as a place where community youth can meet,
be listened to and receive support. It is a living
environment where teens have the possibility, on a
voluntary basis and in contact
with
relevant adults, to create a place favouring
exchanges, communication and personal development.
Therefore, Place Jeunesse Odanak opens its doors to
youths seeking a meeting place facilitated with
interveners who are both available and qualified to
listen to, inform, accompany and refer youths
throughout their efforts and challenges. It is also a
place where youths can carry out projects and
participate in structured and supported activities.
Every year, the PJO organizes over sixty recreational, cultural, athletic, fund-raising and prevention activities in which teens can participate. In addition, all community youths aged from 12 years to 18 years and 3 months, have access to the premises provided that they respect the rules. Youths from neighbouring municipalities are also welcome for two (2) nights a week.
